How we work

Privacy: the short version

The short answer

We collect the details needed to run the marketplace, such as contact details, property and lease information, and contractor credentials. We share project details only with the contractors we invite. We use automated software tools and cloud providers, some of which may be overseas. A person reviews the preliminary summaries these tools help prepare. You can ask to see or correct your information, and complain to the OAIC.

Draft pending legal review. This is a plain-English summary of our draft privacy policy. It has not yet been reviewed by an Australian lawyer and may change before launch.

What we collect

  • Customers: name, role, business, contact details, property address, lease and project details, and the documents and photos you upload.
  • Contractors: business and contact details, ABN, licences, insurance certificates, past projects, references, quotes and referral-fee payment details.
  • Website visitors: device and usage information, and how you found us (for example which ad you clicked).

Please do not upload health or other sensitive information.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: assess projects, match and invite contractors, share quotes, track projects, vet contractors, administer referral fees, handle complaints, keep the platform secure, and improve our tools. We send marketing only with consent or where the law allows, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

  • Contractors invited to your project, and only what they need to inspect and quote
  • The customer who asked for a quote, when you are a contractor
  • Service providers that host and run the platform, including document processing, email and payment providers
  • Our professional advisers, and regulators where the law requires

Automated tools and overseas providers

We use automated software tools, including third-party service providers that may process your documents outside Australia, to help read leases, photos and plans, prepare the preliminary summary, suggest cost ranges, prioritise enquiries, rank eligible contractors and compare quotes. A person reviews the preliminary summary and its findings before you rely on them.

Some of our providers may process information outside Australia. We have not yet chosen our live providers. Before launch, our privacy policy will name each one and the countries involved.

Computer programs and decisions

From 10 December 2026, Australian privacy law requires us to explain where computer programs make, or help make, decisions that could significantly affect you. Our full policy lists them. In short, people make the decisions that matter. One automatic rule: a contractor whose recorded licence or insurance has expired is not invited to new projects until a current document is checked. You can ask for a person to review how a program was used in a decision about you.

Keeping it safe, and how long we keep it

Uploaded documents are stored privately and opened only through short-lived links tied to your account. Access depends on your role. We keep information only as long as we need it, or as the law requires, and then delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your information. If you think we have mishandled it, tell us first. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

General information only, not legal advice. Get advice from a property lawyer about your own lease.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell my information?

No. We do not sell personal information.

Do you use my lease to train software models?

No, not without your separate permission. We will require our document processing providers not to use it for training either.

Can I ask you to delete my documents?

Yes. We will delete them, except records we must keep for tax, legal or dispute reasons. The full policy sets out how long we keep each kind of record.

Who can see my quotes and documents?

You, the people in your organisation you give access to, the contractors invited to your project (only what they need), and our team members whose role requires it. A contractor never sees another contractor's quote.
