How the fee works
Pay only for qualifying work won.

- The contract value excluding GST, as set out in the terms.

- Handled under the terms, with a clear dispute process.

Requirements
What we ask for.
- Australian business with an active ABN
- Public liability insurance, and workers' compensation where required, with current certificates
- Licences or registrations for the trades you offer, where your state requires them
- Commercial make-good, strip-out or related trade experience you can show us
- References we can contact
- Agreement to our contractor referral terms and code of conduct
We keep checking: expired insurance or licences pause invitations until they're renewed. Read how we vet contractors.
Contractor questions
How much is the referral fee?
It is currently 5% of the contract value you agree with the customer, excluding GST, set by the referral terms you sign. It applies only when the customer awards you work through MAKE GREAT. How variations are treated and when it's payable are also set out in those terms, which you sign before receiving any invitations.
Do I pay for leads or invitations?
No. There are no lead fees, subscriptions or pay-per-click charges. You pay only on qualifying work won.
Can I pay to get more invitations or rank higher?
No. Matching is based on fit, availability and track record, never on payment.
Who do I contract with?
The customer, directly. MAKE GREAT is a marketplace and is not a party to your building contract.
Which areas are you starting in?
Melbourne and Sydney, including the CBDs and major industrial areas. Other capital cities are planned next.
